New England Crane School Now Offering Onsite NCCCO Certification and Recertification Classes

At NECS, we have always preferred to work with the CIC due to the logistical simplicity of their exam process. However, we recognize that some of our customers have been using the NCCCO for their operator certifications for a long time, and they sometimes prefer to keep all operators with one consistent certification provider, despite the fact that both certs meet OSHA’s requirement. In response to the needs of those customers, NECS began offering onsite CCO certification classes this summer.

Our public certification classes, however, will remain strictly CIC. We are able to accept CCO recerts in our public classes, but only if they are willing to convert to a CIC cert.

CIC Announces Change to Practical Exam Time Limits
In July, CIC practical exam subject matter experts voted to change the allowable times for two of the four practical exam challenges. This decision was made after an analysis of practical exam data. Challenge #1 must now be completed in 5:30 minutes rather than 7, and challenge #3 must be completed in 9 minutes rather than 16.
